Mike Tyson

In September 2006, a year after his retirement, Tyson stated that he would begin on a world tour of fair fights billed as “Mike Tyson’s World Tour” in a bid to overcome the debt he was in at the time.

His first bout lasted for four rounds and took place at the Chevrolet Centre in Youngstown, Ohio, on October 20, 2006, against former professional boxer and Tyson’s sparring partner Corey Sanders. With 6,000 fans in attendance, the fight failed to live up to expectations and saw the crowd often booing with displeasure This would be the only exhibition fight of the tour to take place.

In a YouTube interview with rapper T.I, Tyson first mentioned the idea of returning to exhibition fights. He then wailed his possibility of returning to the ring a few weeks later, posting two brief online videos of himself training on his Instagram account, declaring ‘I’m back’ at the end of the second video. In April 2020, “I want to go to the gym and get in shape to box three to four round exhibitions of some charities and stuff.”

Later that month, during a live Facebook stream, he said, “It’s possible to do anything. Now, I feel unstoppable. The war gods reawaken me, set my ego on fire, and want me to war again.

Roy Jones Jr.

Having to defeat Scott Sigmon in a unanimous decision in the Bay Center in Pensacola, Florida, Jones’s last end of 29 years of his career took place on February 8, 2018. After the blow, Jones announced that he would retire but left the door unlocked to return to UFC fighter Anderson Silva and said, “Dana, I don’t mind that you are listening. I know that Anderson is suspended but it’s the only other battle for which Roy Jones will be back.

Information about the fight:

Tyson was contacted by Australian boxing promoter Brian Amatruda following his Instagram and Facebook live stream with an offer of $1 million for facing one of three boxers at the show: former Australian rule player Barry Hall, ex-rugby player Paul Gallen or former rugby league player Sonny Bill Williams. “Mike read in the daily mail that he was going to fight against a rugby player,” says famous agent Max Markson, who was the middleman between the Amatruda and the Tyson team. “He said he was going to not do this, as it is an insult to boxing.

Further offers came from President Feldman of Bare Knuckle Fighting Championship (BKFC), President David Feldman, for 20 million dollars, in order to combat an opponent of Tyson’s choice as far as that opposing party has been contractually awarded BKFC, and Boston Boxing Promotions Chairman Peter Czymor, who had previously been defeated by Tyson by disqualification in 1995 for 1,1 million dollars.

In an interview with BoxingScene.com Holyfield expressed his wish to face Tyson in the ring by saying, “I already have done what I wanted to do in my career and was the best thing I could be. If it weren’t for ch, then he had a lot of fun with the videos, but it was not for the sake of the hell that it would be better.
