2020 was a Formula One motor race that took place over 57 laps on 29 November 2020 on the main ‘Grand Prix Circuit’ configuration on the Bahrain International Running Tour in Sakhir, Bahrain, and was also known as the Formula 1 Grand Prix Gulf Air Bahrain 2020.

The race was the fifteenth round of the Formula 1 World Championship in 2020, and the sixteenth round of the Formula 1 World Championship was celebrated in Bahrain.

This is also the first backward Formula One event in Bahrain in 2020 with a second race called the Sakhir Grand Prix taking place a week later on the same site, though on another circuit called the ‘Outer Circuit or, colloquially, the ‘Bahrain Oval.’

Romain Grosjean suffered a serious accident which led to his Haas VF-20 split into two and a fire. With minor injuries, Grosjean escaped.

Initially scheduled for the second round of the chapter on 22 March 2020, the event organizers were told by the reaction to the COVID 19 pandemic that there were no visitors allowed to attend the course. The event took place on 22 March 2020. The race was delayed indefinitely on 13 March 2020.

After the Bahrain Grand Prix of 2011, it had been postponed for the second time. On 22 March 2020, the company was instead awarded a Grand Prix virtual sports with the participation of race drivers, famous persons, and sports racer Guanyu Zhou.

The Grand Prix of Bahrain was confirmed by 29 November 2020 in August. Because of COVID-19 cases, the organizers announced that behind closed doors the Grand Prix would be held. Special dispensation was provided by local authorities in order to permit local health workers to attend to their families.

The riders and teams were the same as the entry list of the season, without any additional drivers. At the first practice session of the Williams route, Roy Nissany was replaced by George Russell, and Robert Kubica, instead of Kimi Räikkönen, drove for Alfa Romeo Racing.

Lewis Hamilton, Mercedes team-mate Valtteri Bottas and Racing Point driver Sergio Pérez, took place on Friday in unrepresented conditions at daylight.

The second session was also won by Hamilton, the second by Max Verstappen, and the third by Bottas. The second part of the session was twice flagged with a red flag: for the first time the Red Bull driver emerged from the last corner of Alexander Albon, and the other was an errant dog who went on the path. The dog has gone unharmed from the circuit, escaping from the marshall stations through a gap.

For the rest of the event, after its FP2 crash, Albon received a new chassis.

Verstappen was fastest on Saturday, ahead of Hamilton and Bottas, in the third (and final) practice session.

On the first lap, Romain Grosjean crashed into a roadside barrier with Daniil Kvyat on the right of turn 3. Grosjean divided his car into half and broke into flames.

Grosjean could flee the wreck without help and be welcomed by the medical care immediately. Alan van der Merwe, the driver of the medical automobile, said that his hands and his ankles and his rib were slightly burned.

But Grosjean only suffered hand burns without broken bones later confirmed.

On the restart of the race, Kvyat hit Lance Stroll with the Racing Point car of the latter driver standing on top. Late in the race, with an engine failure, Perez retired from the third position and encouraged Albon to be the hero.
