Liverpool played against Chelsea at Stamford Bridge on 3rd March 2020. Chelsea and Liverpool battled for a spot in the FA Cup quarterfinals today with the two team meetings at Stamford Bridge for a fifth-round battle.
Chelsea took a 1-0 lead into the first half thanks to a fortunate goal by Willian in the 13th minutes while Chelsea goalkeeper Kepa Arrizabalaga recorded five saves in the first half of the game.
Three of these saves came in a matter of seconds when the game began. Chelsea also lost Mateo Kovacic to an injury in the first half, and he was replaced by Mason Mount. On the 64th minute, Ross Barkley scored the second goal, making Chelsea lead with two-goal.
Both teams (Chelsea and Arsenal) entered the game after failing to win in their last match, but it wasthey lost their first league game in 422 days, snapping a 44-game unbeaten streak in Premier League play.
However, Chelsea entered this one without two of their good players, N’Golo Kante and Christian Pulisic, both nursing adductor injuries. Chelsea has conceded five goals in their last two games.
