It is that time of the year when Samsung release their first flagship smartphones (S family), their second flagship will be the Note series which will be released somewhere August or September. The latest Samsung S20 and S20 plus are very robust, beautifully designed and also sleek fast.
PRICING AND AVAILABILITY
In the US the S20 and S20 plus pre-orders are set to start on February 21 and it will be hitting stores on March 6th. On the other hand, in the UK, If you pre-order the phone now your unit will be shipped by March 8, while in Germany and other EU countries shipping will happen on March 13.

As a flagship, the S20 and S20 Plus come in polished aluminum frames and glass backs. Available colors are Cloud Pink, Cloud Blue, Cosmic Gray, and Cosmic Black for both the S20 and S20 Plus. They are also IP68 water-resistant so they can be used underwater.
The Samsung Galaxy S20 is the smallest and lightest at 151.7 x 69.1 x 7.9mm and 163g and the Galaxy S20 Plus at 161.9 x 73.7 x 7.8mm and 186g.
This year the display of the S20 and the S20 Plus were bumped up with a 120hz refresh rate. As you might expect, the three phones all have different screen sizes, with the Samsung Galaxy S20 coming in at 6.2 inches and the Samsung Galaxy S20 Plus at 6.7 inches, however, they all feature an infinity O Super AMOLED display at a resolution of 1440 x 3200.
The touch sensitivity was also doubled to a 240hz sample rate on both the S20 and S20 Plus, meaning the phones will be very smooth and fast when using. The Galaxy S20 has 563 pixels per inch and the Galaxy S20 Plus has 525, so basically the S20 plus will be brighter.
Both the S20 and the S20 Plus comes with Qualcomm Snapdragon 865 and 12GB RAM but the storage variety differs. The S20 Plus also has 512GB of storage. The UK chipset meanwhile is the Exynos 990, which is Samsung’s in-house rival to the Snapdragon 865, so it’s also very powerful.
The S20 packs a 4000mah battery while the S20 Plus has a 4500mah battery. Both phones support 25W fast charging and it comes with it in the box. The specs above make the phone very fast and powerful and with the huge batteries of the phones, you could get a full day of usage.
The S20 and S20 Plus have similar camera configuration. They both have 12MP f/1.8 main camera, a 64MP f/2.0 telephoto one, and a 12MP f/2.2 ultra-wide one. But the S20 Plus has a time-of-flight (TOF) sensor for depth sensing. Also, they both have optical image stabilization on their main and telephoto lenses, along with a similar selection of shooting modes, and support for 8K video at 24fps.
They both have 3x optical zoom and 30x digital zoom. For the front-facing cameras, you get a 10megapixel f/2.2 one on both the Galaxy S20 and S20 Plus.
On paper, both the S20 and S20 Plus looks like great phones with the latest chipset and high-end cameras for 2020 but specifications don’t say everything you will have to use it to know if it’s worth it.
